For parents

Change can feel like the ground moving. These stories rehearse the moment a plan breaks and show a character finding a second, still-good plan. Naming plan A and plan B out loud before real changes happen gives your child a familiar handrail.

These are stories, not therapy. If you ever have a worry about your child’s wellbeing, your health visitor, GP or school are the right next step.

Chat about it afterwards

  • What was the character's first plan?
  • What happened to make the plan change?
  • How did they find a new plan?
  • What is something that changed for you recently?
  • What could our plan B be if tomorrow changes?
