Friendship skills are learned by rehearsal, and stories are the safest rehearsal room there is. Notice which character your child leans towards — it often tells you what they are working on. Repairs matter more than perfect behaviour, so linger on the making-up pages.
These are stories, not therapy. If you ever have a worry about your child’s wellbeing, your health visitor, GP or school are the right next step.
