For parents

Every child has a way of being in the world that is genuinely their superpower — deep focus, enormous feelings, fizzing energy, careful noticing. These stories name those strengths out loud without ever framing a child as a problem to fix. Tell your child which superpower you see in them.

These are stories, not therapy. If you ever have a worry about your child’s wellbeing, your health visitor, GP or school are the right next step.

Chat about it afterwards

  • Which superpower did the character have?
  • When did their superpower help someone?
  • What do you think your superpower is?
  • What is a superpower you love in someone in our family?
  • How could we use your superpower this week?
