Privacy, trust & photo consent
Written in plain language, because you are trusting us with your child.
OUR PROMISE
Private by default, personal by choice.
StoryStar Club exists to make one child feel like the hero of their own bedtime. That only works if you feel completely safe here — so nothing about your family is public, nothing is shared without you, and everything can be deleted by you.
Photos are used to personalise your child’s stories
A photo helps our illustrator style match your child — hair, colours, that particular smile. It guides illustrations only. It is never sold, never used for advertising and never used to train outside systems.
Parents stay in control of every uploaded photo
You choose whether to upload a photo at all — every story works beautifully without one. You confirm permission before uploading, and you can see exactly which photo is attached to each profile.
You can delete photos and profiles whenever you like
Delete or replace a photo from the child’s profile page in one tap. Deleting a child profile removes their photo, family cast, pets and stories with it.
Child profiles are private by default
Profiles live inside your account only. Nobody else — no other parent, no search engine, no public page — can see your child’s name, age, photo or interests.
Stories are not publicly visible unless you share them
Every story starts private. Sharing is off by default, and a story only becomes viewable by a link once you deliberately turn sharing on. You can switch it off again at any moment.
Data deletion can be requested from settings
Settings holds one-tap options to delete all uploaded photos, export your data, or request full deletion of your account and everything in it.
The photo consent you confirm
“By uploading a photo, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or that you have permission to create personalized stories for this child.”
We record the date you confirmed this, so you always know when consent was given. Remove the photo and that record is cleared too.
